The Door To is a 10 minute short film made as part of the low budget anthology feature London Unplugged which premiered at East End Film Festival and got cinematic release in the UK, as well as worldwide distribution on DVD.
The Door To was highlighted as a favourite in reviews by media outlets such as The Times, Empire Online, and The Upcoming.
The Times (UK):
"the most memorable [shorts in the collection] draw on the richest themes of city storytelling: the thin wall between haves and have-nots and the poignancy of chance encounters. In Andres Heger-Bratterud's Hitchcockian The Door To, a lonely telesales agent tries to gain entry to a mysterious members club in Earls Court [...] Taken as a whole, this is a depiction of the capital that's harsh and humane, familiar and strange."
Empire online:
"The best of the bunch, Andres Heger-Bratterud’s The Door To, gets at London elitism as a young Norwegian guy (Stephen Cavanagh) tries to inveigle his way into a secret club to join the cool kids. Well-plotted, confidently shot and consistently intriguing”
The Upcoming:
"A quirky account in The Door To follows a foreign call-center worker as he obsesses over a woman he sees in his lunch break. When he follows her to the secret entrance of a secret club with a secret handshake, it somehow becomes a metaphor for the insider knowledge of a Londoner over someone alien"
